'The Procurement-Bridge/Upphandlingsbryggan' is an initiative aimed at empowering stakeholders in the realm of public art and enhancing their understanding of rules and procedures pertaining to public culture projects. Participants engaged in public culture processes have actively participated in dialogues and received education on rules, processes, and improved selection criteria with the ultimate goal of elevating the quality and quantity of public art-projects. Furthermore, our objective is to facilitate smoother and higher-quality procurement processes. By doing so, the project endeavors to alleviate the daily workload for all involved parties.

The 'Upphandlingsbryggan' project has been focusing on dialogue-seminars, workshops, research, technical development, and tryouts, along with approximately 70 digital lectures for material expansion. The project's primary aim is to train individuals in public culture procurement and tendering, enhancing their understanding of the process and requirements. Through digital seminars and support, target groups gain knowledge and methods, fostering dialogue to enrich the project's outcomes. The project strives to empower participants, enabling successful public culture projects.

The project has successfully invigorated the field within communities in Sweden and Finland, fostering connections between diverse actors across borders and within each nation. Our digital seminars and platform have engaged over 700 students, complemented by the organization of more than 70 live-seminars. The platform and webpage witness a monthly visit-rate of approximately 1,000 to 2,000, while facilitating 5 to 10 individual support activities every month throughout the project, greatly contributing to benchmarking efforts. The landscape of public procurement discussions has been notably transformed, with heightened tolerance and understanding of EU-rules evident among our focus-groups. Recognition from significant stakeholders at the highest levels of administration in both countries has further enhanced our project's reputation, serving as a testament to its quality and impact. Additionally, our collaboration with leading actors in other fields holds good potential for future goals, enabling us to progress further in our mission to simplify and enhance the effectiveness of public art procurement. As we continue to forge partnerships to further exploit in the future, making a positive change to public procurement of art.
