▶Objectives
The project aimed to provide an overview of the labour market at the level of junior post-secondary vocational education. Through the review, we wanted to understand what expectations employers have and what students have and how schools as recruiting institutions can help. Based on the findings, we wanted to develop appropriate activities, recommendations, guidelines, etc. to help narrow the gap between employers and juniors.
▶Activities
The project involved research, analysis, and the preparation of the starting points for the workshops and their test implementation. We identified discrepancies and made corrections. We looked at trends in detail, put them into the research design, and made recommendations for employers. The detailed market research and the subsequent comparison of the results surprised us a little, as we found that it is not yet possible for students to do a PUP in one or another environment. We held two face-to-face project meetings and a third one was organised as part of the final conference in October 2023. Throughout the project, we carried out dissemination and evaluation.
▶Impact
We have prepared: - Student Personal Development Plan, - Preparing for the PUP and Surprise the Employer workshops, - a survey, - recommendations for employers
