Enjoyable Language Teaching

Teaching foreign languages in the countries in which it is not the mother tongue needs a lot of effort.From the primary school to the university we don't add many things to the previous foreign language knowledge.We can only teach theoretic knowledge.However; our students need to practice and use the language so as to learn it.The most permanent knowledge is the one which is learnt through experience. With this idea, we wanted to help students learn English via their own materials in 4 basic skills. With the learning of Digital Skills and technological innovations,we aimed to increase the number of teachers who make the process multidimensional and enable students to participate actively in the learning process.In this sense, it is very important to activate the learning process by keeping up with the developing technology.We wanted to encourage our students to use the positive aspects of technology and shed light on students with both web 2.0 tools and other technological programs we have learned in each mobility.In this way, technology became a world ready to be explored rather than harmful for our students. Making our students learn English well and cooperation with educational institutions were our main aims.

With this project, based on one of the European Union's 2020 targets, we contributed to the development of institutional capacity and quality by ensuring transnational cooperation between educational institutions and their stakeholders. We developed collaborations with educational institutions. The main aim of our project was to learn different, modern, and digital teaching techniques and to use technology effectively in Foreign Language lessons. We also wanted to gain a European perspective. For each skill, students used different collaborative and creative web 2.0 tools. Thus, they both learned and practiced English with the help of the technology.So they got digital skills. With the students from different schools, mixed working groups were created in the four skills activities. By collaborating with the students from different schools, students were more social.They were in communication with the other students in the project, so students made progress in social skills and learned the concepts like division of labor, collaboration and sharing through experience.Moreover; Our students and teachers developed awareness of European Union citizenship Their foreign language skill improved.

We focused on 4 basic skills in foreign language, reading,writing,listening and speaking.We worked on podcasts,poems,Actionbound web 2.0 tool treasure hunt and short stories as a tool for teaching English.We did workshops,conferences,cultural visits,Quizizz competition and we learned useful web 2.0 tools.For each skill, students used different collaborative and creative web 2.0 tools. Thus, they both learned and practiced English with the help of the technology. During The Treasure Hunt in Amiens activity in France,all the students tried to find some places with their mentor teachers in order to achieve some goals determined beforehand. Then we visited a real radio station named Radio Campus in Amiens.Students prepared and recorded their podcast in international groups. Students designed logos in each mobility.In Spain mobility,we did trasure hunt activity in Vilanova and Barcelona, then all the students wrote poems on Sustainable Development Goals in mixed international teams. They used Canva.In Romania mobility students wrote short stories in mixed international teams using different web 2.0 tools.In Türkiye mobility all the participnts learned Actionbound.We prepared a quiz on it and they did the tasks on it.
