Summary

As a result of the pandemic-related closures, students' had more stress, communication problems and inability to focus in lessons and spending time outdoors, in nature has become even more important in education. Therefore, there was a need to experience different educational approaches and learning environments that will positively affect the physical and mental growth of students and ensure that they learn with pleasure by going' beyond the classical education approach which focuses on exam success. Since the number of experienced teachers in the field of "Forest School" was low, it was also necessary to increase teacher awareness on this approach. Finally, to increase the awareness of students and teachers about different cultures and develop their communication skills was another important issue. In this sense, the concept of "forest school" project, which develops students' multiple skills, increases their sensitivity to the environment, enables the use of various learning methods such as collaborative learning, learning by doing and experiencing, allows students to get to know both themselves and nature through outdoor activities by taking education outside of buildings would meet all these needs mentioned above.
