The main goal of the Lingua Verde project was to combine language learning with education about sustainability. We wanted to help students and teachers develop the skills and knowledge needed to support a greener and more sustainable future. By linking language learning with important topics like climate change and renewable energy, we aimed to make lessons more engaging and meaningful. We also wanted to improve students' language skills in English and French while helping them learn about and appreciate other cultures. The project encouraged intercultural teamwork, giving students the chance to collaborate with peers from Belgium, Italy, and Greece. Another objective was to create new teaching materials and methods, like CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), to make learning more innovative and effective. Lastly, we hoped to inspire students, teachers, and the wider community to take action on environmental issues, creating a positive impact both in our schools and beyond. Through activities like clean-up projects, eco-tours, and climate action plans, we worked to raise awareness and empower everyone involved to become agents of change.
