▶Objectives
The main aim of the FARMS´ CHARM Project was to support sustainable farming in rural areas by helping small and medium-sized farmers diversify their activities through agritourism. The goal was to educate farmers on how to start agritourism ventures, enabling them to not only generate additional income but also market their farm products directly to consumers. By motivating farmers as well as providers of education, such as trainers and mentors, to adopt the agritourism practices, the project highlighted the agritourism and rural tourism as the practical way how to slow down the tourism sector while helping local communities, individuals and the environment at the same time leading to a harmonious relationship with nature. To achieve this objective, the project developed four main deliverables, which are described in more detail later in this final report, including the collection of examples of currently existing farms already implementing agritourism practices and creation a set of diverse OERs to educate farmers in agritourism ways. These resources were designed to equip farmers with practical knowledge to diversify their income, promote their products, and adopt sustainable farming practices for long-term benefits.
