βΆObjectives
Primary objective of this project has been enhancing medical education by incorporating anatomically accurate 3D-printed models into teaching, particularly in courses that emphasize morphology. The models we have developed aimed to address the limitations of traditional teaching methods. The improvement of the skills of technicians in medical simulation centres, who are responsible for preparing and operating teaching materials and simulators has been achieved with great success. Training included working with 3D imaging technologies such as segmentation of 3D structures from medical scans, 3D scanning, and increasingly, the use of artificial intelligence. Also, the goal of raising awareness of 3D printing used in medical studies has been met. By familiarizing students with 3D printing, we have tried to encourage them to explore how they can use this technology for their own benefit, whether through creating models or advancing their own ideas. This exposure helped them develop valuable technological skills. In summary, our team aimed to advance the quality of education at medical faculties and their simulation centres by incorporating novel, cutting-edge approaches that reflect the technological progress of our time.
