Summary

The INGLOCLUSION project was launched to address the urgent need to enhance social inclusion and intercultural education among adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. Led by Hajia Adiza e.V in Germany, in partnership with Association Pistes Interculturelles (France) and Engelsiz Sağlık Çalışanları Sendikası (Turkey), it created an innovative collaborative space for exchanging knowledge, developing common methodologies, and offering collective workshops. The multicultural context of this partnership helped bridge gaps in social integration with tailored solutions, emphasizing intercultural education. Key activities, including workshops and practice exchanges, were designed to promote expertise sharing and provide concrete pedagogical tools, thus addressing the inclusion challenges faced by adults in each partner region.

Objectives

Firstly, to strengthen social inclusion by providing tailored educational tools to adults from disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering their active participation in society. Secondly, to promote intercultural education by developing a common methodology enabling partners to share practices and co-create innovative solutions suited to local contexts. Thirdly, to raise participants' awareness of the importance of cultural diversity through workshops and knowledge exchanges, providing them with a space to develop their skills. Finally, we aimed to enhance cooperation among partner organizations from Germany, France, and Turkey, building a robust network focused on social inclusion, expertise sharing, and implementation of best practices.

Activities

Within the framework of the project, we implemented several activities aimed at strengthening social inclusion and intercultural education. Firstly, we organized collective workshops in each partner country (Germany, France, and Turkey) to facilitate experience sharing and mutual learning among volunteers and participants. Secondly, we developed training sessions focused on practical skill development in intercultural education, including modules on cultural diversity awareness and innovative pedagogical methodologies. Additionally, we facilitated knowledge exchanges among partners, leading to the development of a common methodology adaptable to different local contexts. Finally, we launched an awareness campaign to inform the public about the challenges related to social inclusion, highlighting solutions co-created by project partners to promote a transnational collaboration model centered on respecting diversity.

Impact

The INGLOCLUSION project has yielded several concrete achievements and notable outcomes. Firstly, we developed a practical methodological guide for intercultural education, consolidating the best practices and innovative approaches devised by project partners. This guide was distributed to organizations working in the field of social inclusion. Secondly, we established a strong transnational network among partners from Germany, France, and Turkey, facilitating ongoing collaboration and expertise sharing in intercultural education. Thirdly, we trained over 100 volunteers and professionals through workshops and training sessions, equipping them with the necessary skills to promote social inclusion in their respective communities. Finally, our awareness campaign reached a wide audience, enhancing understanding of the challenges related to cultural diversity and encouraging the adoption of inclusive practices at local and national levels.
