โ–ถObjectives

The GOFAR initiative aimed to provide comprehensive support to address the urgent refugee crisis. It offered psychological assistance for trauma coping and conducted orientation programs to help refugees adapt to new environments and access essential services. Cross-cultural competency training was a key aspect, promoting empathy and effective communication with diverse refugee populations. Using an interdisciplinary approach involving psychology, social work, education, and international relations, the initiative fostered a holistic support system. Collaboration with local and international organizations maximized impact through partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and community-based groups. The project trained volunteers and professionals, supporting refugee workers' employability and positive contributions to host communities. Efforts led to improved psychological well-being, a sense of belonging, and increased self-sufficiency for refugees, promoting social cohesion. Addressing urgent needs and empowering support workers, GOFAR played a crucial role in mitigating the crisis' impacts and creating an inclusive environment.
