This project was about inclusive, equitable, quality education (SDG 4, mainly target 4.7) and nurturing an environment of gender justice (SDG 5, primarily target 5.1). The project wanted to remove barriers to education and boost progress towards promoting gender equality in education. To unlock this potential, we needed ‘gender-responsive’ education systems and ‘gender-sensitive educators’ for adult education, higher education, and secondary school education.
