Objectives

The project general objective is to develop non-reactive preventive measures in the field of ESL and facilitate the educational transition of students in vulnerable situations. EO1.To facilitate this transition process, aimed at promoting the professional development of teachers, the first specific objective is to create virtual spaces for networking and e-learning for educators in an integrated platform online that adjusts to the needs and skills of the teaching staff, as well as to the students’ development and needs. EO2.The second specific goal in order to stimulate future continuity in education and preventing ESL of students at risk or in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, is to generate methodologies for non-formal education in the school to reinforce transversal skills and abilities and functional learning. EO3.The third specific objective is to promote an open environment for discussion and co-creation of consolidated strategies within a European space framework for collaboration and exchange knowledge and educational experiences.

Activities

1. Kick-off and management transnational meeting, a project review and end of project meetings 2. Experience mapping: We create a map of experiences on good practices in the prevention of school dropout and educational transition in Spain and Italy. 3. Content Integration in LMS Platform: for creating and managing online work environments during and after the project, where the results of the activities and the produced documents are available. 4. Non-Formal Education Workshops in educational transition and prevention of absenteeism (Workshop I and Workshop II) These workshops not only promoted the exchange of knowledge and reflection on educational practices, but also contributed to the creation of a more inclusive and effective educational environment to prevent early school leaving. 5. Development of the Methodological Guide: to transform the ideas obtained in the brainstorming and co-creation workshops into a single, organized and common document that offers a theoretical and practical framework of non-formal education techniques to promote. 6. Dissemination event to disseminate the results and conclusions obtained within the project, focused on educational transition as a preventive measure against school dropout.

Impact

This project create a methodological guide of non-formal techniques for teachers and guidance professionals from schools in order to tackle ESL and facilitate students’ transition from primary to secondary and the undertaking of two workshops covering non-formal methodologies that will lead to schools capability to implement autonomously measures to increase students’ motivation and interest and address ESL from a holistic perspective, as well as to a greater space for collaboration between NGOs and schools
