Objectives

The objectives set in the project have been: -Encourage the exchange of culture and ideas by valuing the use of ICT as a platform for communication and sharing of experiences. -Value musical studies as an important part of the integral development of people by promoting interdisciplinary learning -Increase motivation for individual study of the instrument and acquire new skills for interpretation -Encourage collaboration between teachers and improve teaching practice -Open borders by bringing Europe closer to the local level, both in rural and urban areas, making students feel part of the same musical community

Activities

Throughout the project, all the initially proposed activities have been implemented, which can basically be grouped into four blocks: - Knowledge of the partners and participants in the project through the development of audiovisual materials to share and analyze one's own and others' reality (Bienvenidos al CPM Cristóbal Halffter, Paris mon amour and Conociendo a nuestros socios) -Knowledge of the cultural and musical tradition of the participating communities and of the instrument itself through musical practice and discovery learning (La escuela francesa de flauta, El folklore español, La flauta desde dentro) -Formation of a flute and double bass ensemble that could offer several concerts together, consolidating the established ties and disseminating and expanding the repertoire for this group through the commissioning of at least two premiere pieces from current relevant composers, while at the same time an authentic cultural immersion was carried out through coexistence (En busca de repertorio, Making Haciendo música en el Bierzo, On se retrouve en France). -Dissemination and reflection activities on the project itself (Say Cheese, Silencio se graba, Making Off)

Impact

Beyond the tangible results such as concerts, classroom auditions and scores corresponding to the two commissioned works, the project has achieved: - the promotion of cooperative learning beyond physical distance - the linking of compulsory studies with the contents of the instrument classes contextualizing the different styles performed together with the rest of artistic trends - the establishment of international links between equals that have stimulated instrumental practice through group interpretation - the stimulation of educational innovation and the contribution to the improvement of practice teaching and educational quality of both centers - the contribution to the development of an awareness of European citizenship with a focus on common cultural values, especially musical ones - the rapprochement of neighboring countries creating a strong collaborative musical network that encourages the completion of higher studies, as well as the search for job opportunities within the European territory. The project has made it possible to learn about the differences between the musical educational systems of both countries and the management teams have been able to exchange opinions regarding the management of their centers.
