The general objective of CAXATO was to generate a training ecosystem with the Camino de Santiago, European cultural exchange and learning heritage, as the backbone, where adults over 50 years old become the protagonists of their educational process, enhancing the acquisition of key competences with special interest in social (soft skills), digital and media, cultural and artistic, global and for sustainability, improving their visa project. The project aimed to: - Implement successful and innovative models aimed at training and social inclusion of adults, as well as fostering European identity. - Through the transnational potential of the Way, promote experiential learning of the universal values of European culture, as well as facilitate the knowledge/enjoyment of its rich heritage. - To implement participatory methodologies with senior learners at the centre of the processes, favouring their activity and autonomy. - Build skills (European framework of key competences for lifelong learning), positive experience, motivation, self-esteem and more creative life projects.
