By implementing this project with the partner college, we wanted to enable young people to work collaboratively with their peers in other countries on topics that affect everyone. The question of integration affects our own schools, which welcome students from different nationalities, disabled... This diversity sometimes creates tensions that could cause situations of discomfort. This project helps to raise awareness among our young people of openness towards others for a better integration of all. In addition, this project allowed students to discover some European institutions, the life of the travellers, the history and traditions of the two partner countries as well as improve the level of language learned (Italian and French). And finally, to provide the opportunity for mobility of students who are relatively far from mobility in general. Indeed, some have discovered the plane for the first time and for others, it was the first time they left France, even the family environment.

The following activities were implemented as part of the project. - Some activities were carried out in each country , with a common theme. The productions were sent from both sides and redisplayed in class (foreign dolls, identity card of these dolls). - The logo of the project was designed by students from the two partner countries and then voted online for the final choice. - Reading, analysis of La Belle et la Bête by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont; - Viewing of the film Mio fratello rincorre i dinosauri from Giacomo Mazzariol’s novel on trisomy 21; - Research on the traditions of the Traveller community; - Show "Sons of the wind" - Visit of the European Commission and the BD museum (Brussels) - Mobility in Agira (visit of the city, Noto, Syracuse, Piazza Armerina, Catania and Etna) - Viewing of the documentary "Caminanti" (former community of travellers in Sicily) by Francesco Di Martino in Noto; - Meeting with the Refugees of the Romaland Animation Park at Piazza Armerina; - Welcome of the Sicilians (visit of Valence, the town hall, Romans sur-Isère); - Simulation and parliamentary debate, Europe Direct; - Pilgrimage to the Saintes Maries de La Mer and interviews with pilgrims.

During the project, students from both countries produced the following: - Posters on travellers (singers, dancers, gastronomy, traditions, etc.) after computer room research; - drawings of Beauty and the Beast after reading the tale; - Traveller interviews during the pilgrimage to Saintes Marie de La Mer + video streaming; - slideshows to present their city, region and country; - Songs and dances typical of the country of origin; - Dolls and immigration-themed ID card; - posters and drawings on Europe and the European institutions; - simulation of a parliamentary debate on the theme of immigration; - logo of the project; - calendar planning of solidarity 2023 - digipad, padlet, Facebook page; - dissemination of the project through a radio registration in France with a group of students and an interview in Italy by teachers and an elected official from the Agira City Council. The expected results were cultural openness, meeting others and accepting otherness, dialogue, mutual aid, fraternity, solidarity, improvement of language skills.
