Objectives

The major objectives to be achieved were: 1) offer better added value to the science and technology courses of their institutions; 2) promote interest and excellence in science and technology subjects in general in the context of the European Green Deal and climate change in the broadest sense; 3) to provide engaging teaching and learning materials for outdoor biology and ecology activities, simultaneously improving many skills (digital skills, communication, problem-solving and teamwork of students, creativity) through the implementation of the STEAM method. It was also a question of acquiring and deepening the skills of students and teachers in the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in the context of science and technology learning. In seeking to achieve these objectives, the expected results were that teachers from the partner structures develop new pedagogical skills by co-creating practical, innovative and adaptable learning/teaching materials while developing a spirit of European networking and inter-structure cooperation.

Activities

Activities set up to meet the objectives: 1) Identify the best practices, issues, weaknesses and strengths of the different partners on STEM subject learning This first step was necessary to understand where we are starting from and what we want to earn while taking advantage of what exists in the other structures. It was a diagnostic phase followed by a projection phase until the end of the project and beyond, carried out in participatory workshops with all the partners. 2) Create outdoor applied ecology courses that can be used by teachers and other educational bodies (STEAM) Some lessons have been tested in some countries with all partners so that everyone can think about the concrete application in their school. These "test" lessons were chosen collectively during a joint workshop. 3) Introduce the different biodiversitys and cultures of each of the partner countries by outdoor activities and cultural immersion for concrete application in the STEAM approach The STEAM approach requires opening up to disciplines other than purely scientific ones (nature, culture, art) to build the lessons.
