▶Objectives
The project objectives are: 1. to increase the skills of mystery guests by integrating sustainability measurements in the tourism sector in their assessments 2. to promote greater awareness of the role of sustainability in building corporate social reputation and customer satisfaction in order to promote the green transition in the tourism sector The project objectives are aligned with the priorities indicated and aimed at encouraging good practices for the sustainability of accommodation facilities and the development of digital tools for training hotel staff. Through the production of the project results we have promoted guidelines for the sustainability of accommodation facilities, and strengthened the capacity of VET centers to promote the green transition. The Green Mystery Guests will have used a flexible learning modality based on distance learning, accessible to everyone at any time via the official website of the project through the Online Course, to complement the course, we have created a dedicated micro-credential proposal.
▶Activities
The Green Mystery Guest project was divided into 7 main activities 1. The first meeting in Foggia which also included an internal workshop for participants and a dissemination event with over 200 participants 2. The Checklist for Green Mystery guest and its evaluation on 100 participants in the three participating countries 3. The second meeting in Cordoba with the implementation of an internal workshop 4. The registration, implementation and piloting of an online course for green mystery guest in 3 modules, the creation of a proposal for dedicated micro-credentials 5. The third meeting in Bucharest with the implementation of an internal workshop 6. Production of recommendations for companies and policy makers 7. Implementation of an international event in Altamura which included about 300 participants All project results are made available in English, Italian, Spanish and Romanian. The dissemination of project results took place through a website, an Instagram page and a dedicated Facebook page
▶Impact
1. Sustainability Indicators Checklist for accommodation facilities. A tool that aims to identify the elements to be considered for an assessment of the sustainability elements of accommodation facilities in order to propose an integration of sustainability elements in the quality assessments formulated by mystery guests, but also as an agile internal tool for accommodation facilities and for training centers operating in the tourism sector. 2. An Online Course of 3 modules for the training of mystery guests and in general managers and the workforce operating in the tourism sector to carry out internal screenings based on variables related to the sustainability of accommodation facilities and adherence to the checklist of sustainability indicators. The course will be based on a model of skills based on micro-credentials 3. Recommendations for Policy makers in the tourism sector, ecological transition and education. A strategic document that encourages decision makers and local authorities and political decision makers at regional, national and European level to promote the green transition in the tourism sector and for the bodies involved in the assessment of accommodation facilities.
