โ–ถObjectives

By implementing the f.EU.ture LAs project, we aimed to develop flexible CPD tools and upskill senior staff in small European municipalities, addressing the need for effective smart working aligned with the digital transition, European Green Deal and post-pandemic recovery needs. Our objectives included strengthening CVET providers by expanding their scope and improving service quality through international cooperation, contributing to the European Education Area realisation. We aimed to enhance CVET accessibility in the public sector, with a new, flexible CPD program for rural municipal employees, enabling them to lead digital and green transitions through agile/smart work reorganization. The modular training approach catered to the evolving labor market and working-age adults, ensuring a quick and effective transfer of skills. Ultimately, the project aimed to eliminate procedural uncertainties and cultural shocks for staff, enabling them to adopt smart work models, improving public service quality, individual performance, well-being, and making career prospects more attractive for young European talents within the public administration at local level within rural and remote communities.

โ–ถActivities

- Transnational collection of virtuous tools and approaches for the implementation of agile work in the public sector - Transnational co-creative workshop involving the staff of the partner organizations, organised in Skopje/NMK - Development of a multilingual modular distance learning C-VET tool (Podcast) and supporting materials usable in m-learning mode - Definition of strategies to maximize and scaleup the project results at EU level, also towards new sectors and targets

โ–ถImpact

The project realised concrete outputs and results, namely: - a multilingual Research Compendium entitled 'Agility and Smart working for municipalities' gathering inspiring practices, tools and testimonies; - a multilingual educational Podcast ('AGILies') available via Spotify, gathering 48 educational episodes and 48 supporting docs (infographics, activity sheets etc.). The consortium developed those tools to support the continuous professional development of staff, including admins and technical personnel of peripheral local authorities. These tools facilitated the effective implementation of smart working, aligning with the digital and green European decade and aiding the post-Covid recovery by ensuring high-quality public services for EU citizens. Additionally, our partners enhanced their capacity to create and develop flexible, modular VET materials. This improvement will benefit the ongoing education and training landscape, providing a foundation for future projects and collaborations. The project also fostered greater cooperation among European municipalities, contributing to a more connected and resilient public sector workforce and raising awareness among them of what the Erasmus+ programme does in this regard
