The DOEER project had two objectives: to strengthen digital skills in higher education and to integrate equality-based practices across all disciplines and professional fields. The aim was to help universities improve teaching and learning through the use of innovative digital and pedagogical tools, including an open online course (MOOC) accessible as an OER. In this way, students and partners acquired new skills in the use of ICT for inclusive education and work in blended and online environments. At the same time, DOEER sought to promote awareness and the ability to recognize and address inequalities, contributing to more equitable academic and professional contexts. Another key objective was to bridge the gap between higher education and the labor market by piloting the course in the tourism sector, promoting employability, and testing its transferability to other sectors. Overall, the project promoted the achievement of a lasting impact by integrating its methodology into partner institutions and promoting resilience and inclusion in European higher education.

DOEER management ensured coordination, monitoring, and reporting (WP1). An initial phase focused on analyzing worst/best practices in relation to inequalities in higher education and employment, producing a common framework and quality guidelines (WP2). On this basis, the partners developed the DOEER MOOC as an open educational resource, implementing digital content, pedagogical tools, and assessment mechanisms (WP3). The MOOC was trialed in the tourism sector to test its applicability and transferability. The implementation was supported by two Learning, Teaching, and Training Activities: in Seville (LTTA1), on the pedagogical and technical components of digital learning for partner staff, and in Ljubljana (LTTA2), on equality-based resilience in the tourism sector, where students from the project countries tested the MOOC. Each partner organized national seminars to disseminate the results and promote inclusive digital education. A dedicated web portal, actions, and targeted communication ensured long-term accessibility and integration of the results into higher education programs (WP4).

DOEER has produced a series of tangible results by combining digital innovation and equality-based practices. - DOEER MOOC, an open educational resource that provides flexible and accessible training on inclusive digital education. - Compendium of worst and best practices in relation to inequalities in higher education and employment. - Methodological framework and quality guidelines for digital and pedagogical skills. The MOOC was tested in the tourism sector, confirming its relevance for employability and transferability to other sectors. Two international training activities (in Seville and Ljubljana), which contributed to improving the outputs. - Six national dissemination seminars involved universities, students, policymakers, and businesses. - A dedicated online portal to ensure access to results and the long-term sustainability of the project. In addition, the project strengthened cooperation between higher education and the labor market, raising awareness of equality issues and disseminating more resilient and inclusive educational practices.
