โ–ถObjectives

The CHAMPION project aimed to empower individuals with a migrant background by leveraging their cultural heritage as a foundation for sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation. Key objectives included providing tailored training pathways to equip participants with the necessary entrepreneurial skills and knowledge, while fostering accessibility through Universal Design for Learning principles. Additionally, the project sought to strengthen the capacity of NGOs and CSOs to support cultural heritage-based entrepreneurial initiatives, enabling them to offer effective, context-specific programs. By integrating cultural heritage into business models, CHAMPION also promoted green and socially responsible entrepreneurship, addressing contemporary market demands while preserving cultural identities. Ultimately, the project aimed to foster transnational collaboration, ensuring scalable, impactful results that advance inclusion, skill development, and innovation, in alignment with Erasmus+ priorities.

โ–ถActivities

The CHAMPION project followed a structured implementation process, beginning with a comprehensive needs analysis to identify barriers and opportunities for individuals with a migrant background. This included surveys, case studies, and desk research to define critical factors for success. Based on these findings, we developed an action-based learning curriculum aligned with Universal Design for Learning principles, ensuring accessibility for diverse learners. Training content and support materials were designed to foster entrepreneurial skills and capitalize on cultural heritage. These resources were delivered through a multilingual Open Educational Resource (OER) platform, allowing participants to access flexible, self-paced learning pathways. Pilot testing was conducted with aspiring entrepreneurs and NGOs/CSOs to validate and refine the tools, ensuring their relevance and impact. The project also involved capacity-building workshops for NGOs and dissemination activities to share results widely, leveraging partnerships to foster collaboration and sustainability. Quality assurance processes ensured rigorous monitoring and improvement.

โ–ถImpact

The CHAMPION project delivered impactful outputs aligned with its objectives. Key results included a multilingual, modular training curriculum and support materials tailored to the needs of individuals with a migrant background and NGOs. The curriculum, based on Universal Design for Learning principles, was accessible through an OER platform, enabling flexible, self-paced learning. Two comprehensive action plans were developed: one for aspiring entrepreneurs to create cultural heritage-based enterprises and another for NGOs to design support programs for their beneficiaries. Pilot testing validated these outputs, with over 90% of participants expressing satisfaction and readiness to apply their skills. The project enhanced NGO capacity to support entrepreneurial initiatives and fostered transnational collaboration, sharing best practices across regions. Dissemination activities ensured widespread access to results, promoting scalability and sustainability. CHAMPION succeeded in advancing inclusion, skills development, and cultural preservation through innovative and accessible tools.
