Our project aimed to reconceptualize the values and foundational approaches within social sciences and humanities in response to the climate crisis and Europe’s "twin transition." Recognizing the pressing need for digital democracy, inclusiveness, and an innovation-driven economy, we focused on equipping academia with tools to translate research into impactful policy analysis and advocacy. This was achieved through the development of interdisciplinary resources such as the Methodology, Textbook, Cultural Studies Curriculum, and Brain Drain report, integrating SSH with STEM to foster critical thinking and practical skills. The project also sought to address challenges such as migration and labor automation, tailoring solutions to Southeast Europe while aligning with EU priorities. By embedding these deliverables into institutional frameworks and ensuring their sustainability, we created pathways for ongoing reform. This approach fosters an inclusive, resilient academic environment that bridges regional disparities and contributes to sustainable socio-economic transformation. This initiative ensures academia remains a catalyst for sustainable solutions, bridging research and policy to address regional and global challenges.

We developed a model of study that integrates research, creativity, and continuous student-teacher feedback, embedding a culture of innovation into the academic process. This approach fosters dynamic engagement, making innovation a foundational element of learning. To connect academia with real-world challenges, we made policy analysis and advocacy central to the study process. By equipping students with the tools to address socio-economic issues like labor automation, migration, and sustainability, we bridged the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. We created a methodological framework for deep interdisciplinarity between social sciences, humanities, and STEM. This enables academia to address global challenges such as the climate emergency and green transitions through collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches. As for the key deliverables we developed 4 major products: Methodology, Textbook, Cultural Studies Curriculum, and Brain Drain report, which enhance interdisciplinary teaching and learning. These were supported by workshops, conferences, and digital tools like the EIDE Digital Tool platform and mobile application, ensuring accessibility and long-term engagement.
