Summary

Objectives The purpose of this project is to analyze young people’s online experience in social activism movements, including their preferences, themes, usage of language, and perceived impact. It will support young people to channel their energy, creativity and aspirations and become future activists. The proposed programs will build young people’s skills, knowledge and confidence while helping them more effectively express their voices. Activities We will have 2 physical and 3 online meetings. The youth training “Digital citizenship” will guide 16 youngsters on their journey of youth activism and participation through non-conventional means. Youth for Change and Action events will be organized during the official Youth Day in 2024. Network & Grow event will be organized in the last phase of the project. The aim of this event is to create social cohesion and relations between youngsters. Project conference with the stakeholders. Impact The development of the “Wielding the power of social media for social change” Handbook; The development of the “YLA Youth-Led Activism” online platform. More than 100 will enrich future projects and connect the practitioners from the respective organizations and young people from the European Union. 16 youngsters will become the new future changes by enriching expertise in digital storytelling and learning how to facilitate activities based on this method.
