▶Objectives
We wanted to achieve increased competency about environmental and climate challenges, so the partners can be able to take the right actions. We wanted to adress the environmental and climate challenges by working with tasks and solutions through 4 Green Innovation Camps. We also wanted to increase cooperation between schools and working life so the students can see the link to working life and working life can see the competences of the students. We wanted to increase the cooperation between schools and working life through 4 Green Innovation Camps. And we wanted to increase digital readiness, resilience and capacity, because these are tools that actually can be a part of the solution to the environmental and climate challenges. We wanted to make use of the digital tool "Innovation Camp App", that we have developed in an earlier Erasmus+ project, at our 4 Green Innovation Camps. The App is especially designed to contribute to focused and coherent group work through different steps in a focused process from creative ideas to concrete, focused, green acticities and solutions.
▶Activities
We implemented four Green Innovation Camps (two in Norway and two in Sweden). These Green Innovation Camps were arranged in cooperation with the five partners and also other businesses and organisations. An Innovation Camp is a competition, and the businesses and organisations gave the students real green tasks to solve, that they also work with themselves. Camp No. 1: Here participated Foss school, Lillerudsgymnasiet, JA Oslo, BI Norwegian Business school and Elvia. Elvia is Norway's largest electricity company. Elvia own, develop and operate the power grid in Oslo and the surrounding area. Camp No 2: Here participated Foss school, Lillerudsgymnasiet, JA Värmland and BWELL, a health app. Camp No. 3: Here participated Foss school, Lillerudsgymnasiet, JA Oslo, BI Norwegian Business school and Q-meieriene, a dairy. Camp No. 4: Here participated Foss school, Lillerudsgymnasiet, JA Värmland and Löfbergs kaffe, one of the Nordic countries' largest coffee roasters. We also implemented 5 teachers meetings (two in Sweden and three in Norway). During these meetings, we planned and evaluated all the Innovation Camps and the project, as well as shared good practice concerning our entrepreneurship teaching.
▶Impact
An important output was that the students became more aware of environmental and climate challenges and how to take the right actions through their working with different concrete tasks and solutions in the four Green Innovation Camps. In the four camps the students cooperated with businesses within four different fields: electricity company, health app, dairy company and coffee company. The students went into the detaliled challenges these companies have in relation to today's environmental and climate challenges and suggested very constructive, creative and good solutions. In this way, the students got training in entrepreneurship cooperation in solving concrete tasks from businesses and organisations with students abroad, and could understand more of what is required in today's working life. The businesses were clearly impressed by the students, and received their solutions with great interest and thanks. Through this work, the businesses and organisations became more aware of the youth's skills today and their own social responsibility towards student's. The students also trained their digital readiness by using with our self produced Innovation Camp App during all their work. The App was very practical and useful in our work.
