The main objective of our project was supporting our students in developing and broadening their understanding of sustainability issues, including climate change, the necessity of saving water and energy, renewable energy sources, preventing food waste, leading sustainable lifestyles and eco farming. This was accomplished through a series of educational activities and workshops designed to guide them and set standards for our learners. The project aimed at disseminating knowledge and promoting sustainable practices to a wider audience. Water and energy conservation, the prevention of food waste and sustainability education were the main thematic fields of our project as well as the promotion of practical solutions in schools, such as creating gardens and creating zero waste classrooms. We aimed to raise students’ awareness of eco farming, healthy food choices and waste management. We wanted to empower students to act as agents of change, develop their self confidence as well as their communication, social skills and cultural diversity while participating in international collaborative activities. We also aimed to develop students’ digital literacy skills and creativity.

During the project we organised all the mobilities with exactly the number of people we got funds for. In the course of the project we organised a logo competition and created a leaflet outlining the project activities that we distributed among our students and parents during parents, meetings. We applied for an eTwinning project and set up a facebook page of the project as well. Students in our schools prepared presentations to promote the relations between food, energy and water among students. We created zero-waste classrooms, which means we put recycling bins in our classrooms and in the corridors. We prepared the New Year Calendar and the `Turkish partner created a water collection tank. The Polish partner made a school garden in front of the school that was looked after by our students and bought glass water bottles for project participants. Each partner created a newsletter after a mobility to their country and distributed them to students and parents at their schools/organisations. The German partner installed a water fountain in their school. We organised school indoor and outdoor activities to promote green issues like celebrating the Earth Day, Water Day, we planted trees and picked up litter in our neighbourhoods.

Students and teachers from partner organisations used various web tools to create the different results. Students used Canva to prepare a presentation on food waste, videos from each mobility were made by the German team using CapCut, all newsletters were created using Canva. Our students and teachers completed surveys created with with Google Forms. Lastly, the eTwinning project was created where the collective outcomes of all the activities of WASTE FEW project are shared, including our mobilities in Poland, Turkey, and Germany. On the project facebook page we provided information on all the mobilities and what activities we took part in while in Germany, Turkey and Poland. We typed articles disseminating our project using word processor.
