We wanted the school to become an institution that influences the green thinking of future generations, who will care for our natural environment and live in a way that prevents environmental pollution. We wanted social and educational activities to be carried out in our schools about environmental pollution and its prevention. So that teachers in our schools have high ecological competences, know the educational policy regarding environmental pollution and climate change, have skills and effective tools and methods of educating students in an environmentally friendly way. We wanted our students to be sensitive to the needs of the environment and aware of their responsibility for it. They had knowledge about environmental pollution and its types, and the impact of human activity on environmental problems. They were able to take responsible actions and initiatives to protect it, attached importance to recycling and segregated waste, knew the rules Zero Waste.

Air, water and soil are important components of the natural environment. Three international meetings were held as part of the project. Each meeting was devoted to a different topic: water, air, soil, effects of pollution and ways to prevent pollution. During the meetings, we presented activities carried out in schools, lessons, multimedia presentations, workshops, competitions, art exhibitions, and talked about topics related to caring for the natural environment. We shared knowledge and experience about ecological education at school, talked about ways and methods of working with students in this area, recycling, waste sorting and Zero Waste principles. The Diseases caused by air pollution conference and training for teachers were held. In the periods between meetings, teachers worked with students in their schools to expand ecological sensitivity and awareness. Tests were carried out on the increase in knowledge of students and ecological awareness of teachers. Satisfaction surveys were conducted after each meeting.

While implementing the project tasks and preparing for international meetings, we created presentations on water, air and soil, recycling, Zero Waste principles, and lesson plans that can be used during classes with students. The materials were prepared in English and in the languages of schools cooperating in the project. We have prepared mini dictionaries in four languages (English, Polish, Italian, Turkish) containing basic vocabulary on topics related to water, air and soil. The knowledge gain surveys carried out confirmed this increase in both students and teachers.The knowledge and experience we have gained during the project will contribute to providing students with knowledge about the environment in a more effective, impressive way, full of interesting ideas and methods. Students with knowledge about the environment and threats will be more aware and responsible for the natural environment, will take responsibility for its protection, will avoid behaviors that cause environmental pollution, and will pay more attention to waste segregation and recycling.
