VET jest atrakcyjny! - promowanie kształcenia i szkolenia zawodowego (VET) przez doradców zawodowych
▶Summary
The ‘VET is attractive!’ project was developed in response to several key VET needs: 1. aligning education with labour market needs. The project aimed to increase the attractiveness of vocational education by improving the quality of educational programmes, adapting them to labour market requirements and strengthening cooperation between schools and employers. 2. Increasing labour market opportunities: The aim was to provide vocational school students with more employment opportunities through the development of their competences, including practical preparation for work in modern enterprises within the framework of dual education. 3. support of vocational counsellors. The project focused on supporting career counsellors by equipping them with knowledge, tools and examples of good practice. This was crucial in order for them to be able to advise young people and parents more effectively in choosing a career path. 4. improving the image of vocational education: The project also aimed to change the perception of technical and industrial professions as attractive, inspiring young people to choose such educational paths.
▶Objectives
The main aim of the project was to increase the attractiveness of vocational education and training by providing vocational counsellors with the knowledge, practical methods and examples of good practice needed to provide guidance and counselling services to school students, as well as their parents and teaching staff. The project also aimed to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and business by developing and creating examples of good practice and recommendations to assist young people in choosing a career path related to the technical industry and to improve the overall image of vocational education. The knowledge and competences acquired during the study visits to Poland and Croatia acted as a form of support and supplementary support for specific competence gaps identified by practical vocational teachers and entrepreneurs. Thanks to international cooperation and project activities such as study visits and workshops, the project provided an opportunity to exchange good practices and experiences between partners from Poland and Croatia, strengthening vocational education in both countries.
