The "Career counseling-practical approach" project aimed to introduce a better understanding of the importance of career counseling issues, understood not only as assistance in making career choices, but also as an element of lifelong learning, getting to know students, their strengths, weaknesses and predispositions. The project's activities were also aimed at equipping primary and secondary school teachers and parents with knowledge and skills that will allow them to play an active role in the process of planning the professional career of young people.

The "Career counseling-practical approach" project assumed the creation of a certain framework on which teachers implementing issues related to career counseling could rely. Educators are somewhat accustomed to fixed elements related to the curriculum. Implementing career counseling issues that are compatible with the dynamically changing labor market is a challenge for them. The problem in this area of ​​activity is both the lack of tools and ready-made materials, as well as the poor substantive preparation of teachers of general subjects to address the issue of career counseling. Survey research has shown the need to create supporting materials for parents so that school and home environment activities in the area of ​​counseling are not based solely on intuition. Broadly understood career counseling is an important object of interest for virtually all active participants of the school community: teachers, students and their parents.

An online platform was created which included educational materials useful in introducing elements of career counseling in various school subjects, including elements of counseling in early school education, counseling from the point of view of employers, a green approach to career counseling, and counseling in the post-Covid-19 period. A guide for parents was developed, which describes the parent's advisory role from the beginning of education to the end of high school. A portal was created with 20 videos presenting the practical implementation of career counseling issues in school, home and workplace environments. All project products were created in Polish, Slovenian, Romanian, Turkish, Hungarian and English.
