By implementing the Erasmus+ KA210 project, we aimed to enhance our schools’ involvement in Erasmus projects and improve the quality of education. The project integrated our schools into international education networks, enabling teachers and students to learn new educational approaches, enriching our strategies. It also allowed students to experience different European cultures, improving their language, communication, and IT skills, and fostering their growth as global citizens. The project promoted environmental awareness through events and training, encouraging sustainable lifestyles among students, families, and schools. Additionally, cultural exchanges increased mutual understanding and tolerance, broadening perspectives. This initiative significantly improved our schools’ international recognition, educational quality, and students' language, cultural, and environmental awareness.

We carried out many activities in our schools, communities, and through international mobilities. These efforts aimed to enhance students' environmental awareness, language skills, and cultural understanding. Key activities included installing recycling bins, visiting recycling facilities, plantation of local trees and a poster contest to celebrate the Earth Day, Window painting event at school, presentation of the project activities and results in various events organized in the schools creating awareness materials (flyers, posters, didactic toys and games, Tik Tok song, videos, cartoons, news articles), and workshops/conferences on sustainability. We also engaged with local companies and government bodies to learn about their sustainability practices. During the International mobilities in Portugal, Italy, and Türkiye we examined the effects of energy saving practices on climate; the use of renewable resources such as solar, wind and biomass energy and their positive effects on the climate; we learned about innovative studies about waste management and recycling. Our project significantly impacted students and teachers across various domains, notably in environmental awareness, cultural exchange, language proficiency, and sustainable living practices. One key outcome was fostering the habit of choosing products with a low carbon footprint. Through targeted training and events, participants were encouraged to adopt more environmentally friendly consumption habits, leading to tangible energy savings in daily life. Enhanced recycling systems in schools and training on renewable energy and conservation further promoted sustainable practices. Cultural interaction was enriched through international mobilities and local excursions, allowing participants to engage with diverse cultures and broaden their global perspectives. Language skills improved as students and teachers actively used foreign languages, enhancing communication abilities. Social awareness was also heightened, extending beyond the participants to families and local communities. The project’s initiatives, including workshops, media outreach, and educational materials, inspired wider community engagement and laid a strong foundation for future collaborations.
