Objectives

The PREDICT project aimed to address digital illiteracy and skills mismatches in VET by developing a holistic and inclusive model for digital reskilling. Its objectives were to enhance employability through pedagogical innovation, integrating green digital tools, AI-supported learning paths and collaborative approaches tailored to individual needs. A strong focus was placed on lifelong learning and the inclusion of disadvantaged groups, supported by mentorship and flexible curricula that could adapt to diverse contexts. The project also sought to strengthen the alignment between VET and labour market demands, fostering stakeholder engagement and practical connections to real-world applications. Beyond the immediate outputs, PREDICT aimed to establish replicable and sustainable strategies, transferable across Europe, thereby reinforcing transnational cooperation between education, research and industry. Ultimately, the project sought to empower VET learners and trainers with digital readiness and resilience, creating the conditions for more inclusive, future-oriented pathways into the labour market.

Activities

The project was implemented through six interlinked work packages, each ensuring balanced progress and complementarity. WP1, led by IPSantarém, focused on overall management and quality assurance, applying agile methodologies and continuous monitoring through KPIs. WP2 (ShipCon) designed and tested innovative green digital tools for VET, including toolkits, multimedia resources and a digital handbook of best practices. WP3 (Endurae) developed the IA interVEU course prototype and online platform, integrating AI to personalise learning paths. WP4 (IPSantarém) engaged VET learners and trainers in collaborative prototyping activities using AR and 3D technologies, supported by FAB_LAB methodologies. WP5 (ICCV Romania) produced methodological and pedagogical guidelines, providing frameworks for trainers and institutions. WP6 (IDEC) coordinated dissemination, using digital platforms, social media, webinars, workshops, multiplier events and publications to ensure broad outreach. Across all WPs, activities promoted accessibility, mentoring and inclusion, while reinforcing the alignment between training and labour market needs.

Impact

The project fully delivered the planned results and, in some areas, exceeded targets. It produced a set of innovative outputs to modernise VET: an Innovative Learning Toolkit on Green Digital Tools, complemented by assessment models, multimedia resources and a European handbook of best practices (WP2). The interVEU platform was developed with AI-based features, integrating an online course, instructional design guides and UX strategies to support personalised learning (WP3). Through FAB_LAB activities, VET learners and trainers created collaborative projects using AR and 3D technologies, supported by the Learning Guides for Prototyping in a Collaborative Environment (WP4). In parallel, 3 sets of methodological and pedagogical guidelines were produced to provide practical frameworks for trainers and institutions (WP5). Dissemination and communication actions (WP6) went beyond expectations, with 7 open webinars, 12 workshops, 7 multiplier events and continuous online engagement, reaching more than 180 stakeholders, including policymakers and VET experts. Overall, the project achieved its objectives, reinforcing digital readiness, inclusion and employability, while ensuring scalability and sustainability across European VET systems.
