Objectives

Through this project, we wanted to develop responsible behavior for children for a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing movement and learning in nature, we also wanted to increase the number of outdoor activities in the partner kindergartens by 20%; to reduce the attitude of discrimination against preschoolers from vulnerable backgrounds or children with Special Educational Needs by including 10 children from disadvantaged groups in one of our kindergarten structures located in a more peripheral district of the city and 5 children with Special Educational Requirements and to develop the skills of teaching staff participating in the project in carrying out outdoor activities throughout the duration of the project.

Activities

During the duration of the project, we carried out the following activities: The project launch conference in December 2022 Three mobilities First in Bistrița/Romania 24.04.2023-30.04.2023 then the second in Istanbul/Turkey during 11.06.2023-17.06.2023 and the last mobility in Burgas/Bulgaria during 23.09.2023-29.09.2023 Between the three mobilities and practically during the whole period of the project, I carried out in each kindergarten, weekly, at least one ourdoor activity with preschoolers. In October 2023 we started the Etwinning project "Play and Learn in Nature" as a continuation of the Erasmus project, it will end in March 2024, in this project we involved teaching staff from several kindergartens in the country as well as teaching staff from countries other than those partnering in the project, such as Latvia. On November 24, 2023, we held the Play and Learn in Nature International Conference to disseminate the project's activities and results. In this conference, teaching staff from the partner kindergartens as well as the partners from the Etwinning project had the opportunity to participate online. The teaching staff from Bistrita participated physically.

Impact

The tangible results of our project are: The project magazine and the Ebook, both available in English but also in Romanian, videos presenting mobility activities as well as outdoor activities carried out with preschoolers between mobility, Certificates of participation, the Facebook and Instagram pages of the project. The project magazine and e-book are the result of collaborative work. The magazine contains articles written by the teaching staff involved in the project as well as the activities carried out throughout the project implementation period accompanied by photos, and the e-book is composed of 12 model lessons for outdoor activities, each partner country had to prepare 4 lesson plans. The plans were presented and discussed in the first two mobilities. The intangible results are: increasing the number of outdoor activities in partner kindergartens; the involvement of children with SEN or from disadvantaged backgrounds, the development of key skills of teaching staff to carry out outdoor activities; stimulating interest in this type of activities in order to produce a change, a balance in the child's physical and emotional development
