Objectives

General objective of the project was to improve capacity of women living in border areas through creating high quality and easily accessible learning opportunities for sustainable rural tourism Specific objectives were: - To create high quality training methodology and digital platform for women living in border areas for sustainable rural tourism - To educate pilot group of women from border areas of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia for sustainable rural tourism Project aimed to contribute to the priority “Improving the availability of high quality learning opportunities for adults”. In addition, Project contributed to the two more themes: - Creating and promoting learning opportunities among all citizens and generations – since Project provided new approach in education and support to women in border areas to improve their skills and knowledge for rural tourism - Stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices – since Project provided modern way of support to women to switch from traditional agriculture-based households to more advanced – tourism-oriented approach which can create better possibilities to improve their incomes and quality of life in general.

Activities

Main activities in the Project were: 1. Project Management (The project was managed by IPP with contribution from the partners from Croatia and Slovenia) 2. Initial press conference in Serbia (The conference was organized as a hybrid event – as an in-situ event for 11 representatives and on the internet with 17 participants on Zoom and with 172 people reached it on the FB live stream) 3. Initial partner meeting (3 day partner meeting in Serbia) 4. Development of training methodology and manuals for trainers (Training methodology was created in a form of an e-book with practical tests for trainees and presentations for trainers in 4 languages) 5. Creating a digital platform for rural tourism (platform is available in 4 languages on https://ruraltourism.ipp.rs) 6. Mid term partner meeting (3 day partner meeting in Croatia) 7. Training of trainers (11 trainers trained) 8. Presentations for tourism and BSO in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia (3 presentations for total of 42 representatives of BSO present) 9. Pilot trainings in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia (3 trainings with 39 participants) 10. Final partner meeting (3 day partner meeting in Slovenia) 11. Final press conferences in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia

Impact

The main project results are: - Training methodology for training of women from border areas in rural tourism prepared and available online on on https://ruraltourism.ipp.rs in 4 languages (ENG, SLO, CRO, SRB) - Training of trainers organized and 11 people from partner organizations trained to educate women from border areas for sustainable rural tourism - 39 people trained for sustainable rural tourism through pilot trainings– 13 in Serbia, 15 in Croatia and 11 in Slovenia (30 of them was women) - Digital platform for sustainable rural tourism created, available online in 4 languages (English, Serbian, Croatian and Slovene) and promoted: https://ruraltourism.ipp.rs - 3 presentations for 42 representatives of organizations that support rural economy and tourism development organized - 3 Facebook pages dedicated to dissemination of project results created in 3 languages (SRB, CRO, SLO) - Several articles on project published in media
