By implementing the project, we wanted to ensure that more people from diverse backgrounds contribute to Wikipedia and its sister projects in a high-quality and efficient manner. Thanks to this, quality open (free) educational resources will be widely available, with which the general public can increase their education and cross-cultural understanding (including the positive integration of different perspectives). At the same time, these contributors will improve a number of their skills, including digital competence, computing, virtual collaboration and co-creation, textual conflict resolution, working with intellectual property, critical thinking and more. The applicant wanted to better scale his activity (instead of personally learning the basics of contributing, he simply refers interested parties to project materials, and the saved time can be invested in other work). At the same time, in this way he wanted to reach out to interested parties whom he could not train personally. The partner organizations wanted to train their members, activists, employees and supporters in contributing to Wikipedia earlier, faster and with better quality and thus support their activities.
