▶Objectives
- Promoting cooperation between research, business and education to tackle environmental challenges and contribute to achieving European climate targets - Addressing the training needs of the present and future by developing more effective & sustainable learning methods - Digitalization of vocational education and training (VET) - Raising public awareness of the potential applications of green hydrogen technology - Integration of green skills development in vocational education and training - Increasing the attractiveness of training skilled workers by applying new learning methods and integrating future-oriented technologies
▶Activities
- Regular project meetings (online and in person) to coordinate the next steps and evaluate progress. - Stakeholder workshop to determine the needs of the target group in relation to a VR application (subsequently referred to as VR app). - Conceptual description of the learning content, which makes green hydrogen technology tangible and experienceable in order to make the mode of action and diverse application possibilities of innovative, climate-neutral and self-sufficient energy supply accessible to a broad group of people. - Development and evaluation of the VR app, including an evaluation report. - Educational institutions are supported in the implementation of the Green H2VR app by providing a corresponding guide (available in German and English). - Dissemination and sustainability: in order to ensure a uniform appearance of all reports and written results, a corresponding template was created. Furthermore, the project was disseminated by all project partners at various events over the entire duration of the project (see dissemination report) in order to inform as many people as possible about the project and its activities.
▶Impact
1. Development and evaluation of the Green H2VR app: In the project, an immersive learning app for the production and use of green hydrogen was developed, which can be used to familiarize oneself with the basic principles of green hydrogen production in a playful way. Green H2VR guideline (available in German and English): Educational institutions are supported in the implementation of the Green H2VR app by providing the corresponding guideline (see appendix).
