▶Objectives
This project is expected to provide a good case study for researchers in the context of its sustainable impacts. While a variety of local artistic and cultural activities have been carried out in the context of published and recommended migrant inclusion strategies, few projects focus on music as a focal point and a unifying feature. The most important features that make this project different from other studies are; bringing together both professional and amateur musicians from various countries around Europe to make music together, creating a unique common repertoire, and the continuity of the project outputs as well as the continuity of the subject matter. The aim of the project is to contribute to the social and cultural inclusion of people in need of getting used to living in a country with a different culture, language and norms than their homelands. To achieve the goals of this project playing music together and creating a common repertoire, including music from the receiving countries and the migrants’ own cultures, were the core of the activities planned. The need for a sense of belonging, cultural dialogue, mutual understanding, equality and diversity is the starting point and scope of this project.
