▶Objectives
Among the main objectives of the project were: - digital transformation via implementing new platform and structuring knowledge sharing across departments in social sciences; - capacity building of both partnering organisations to work transnationally and across sectors: the cross-border character of the project increased the capacity of the organisations to work at EU level and allowed them to strengthen their network for future projects with EU dimension; - fostering the cooperation between science, training and IT sector; - improved quality of the work of the partners; - cross-cultural collaboration and knowledge sharing - cultural and mindset change about the collaboration in research and publishing dynamics that needs to be effective since the first steps and also in a less formal contexts.
▶Activities
Five activities were implemented as follows: - review of existing level of digitalisation and creation of a backbone of the platform specification – analysis on the existing level of digitalisation in partner institutions and creation of gap analysis report; - digitalisation phase (construction of the collaboration contexts i.e. the DigiKnow platform); - building digital skills phase (testing the platform, improving it and acquiring and sharing the competences to use it); - knowledge transfer phase (sharing knowledge and competences of the DigiKnow platform with Colleagues and PhD students across the two Institutions); - project management.
▶Impact
The main result is the creation of the platform for knowledge sharing DigiKnow and its active usage from scientists from both partner institutions. It is accessible via www.digiknow.org Among the other outputs are the cultural and mindset changes toward the approach to science, enhanced cross cultural collaboration, the increased visibility of scientific work by publishing materials in an open science platform as DigiKnow, the contribution to innovation in training and education, the increased level of digitalisation in partner organisations
