The main goal of our project was to introduce vocational education and training students and teaching staff to the ecological building approach and create awareness about environmental issues and climate change. In this context, we aimed to contribute to innovation in vocational education by showcasing ecological building examples in Germany, Greek and Turkey organizing workshops. The project emphasized the importance of using renewable energy sources, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing waste in construction. Throughout the project, we achieved various outcomes such as the establishment of Erasmus+ Environment and Sustainable Energy Clubs, articles on green building topics in school magazines, an informative Erasmus+ project board, an eTwinning project, a photo exhibition featuring exemplary ecological buildings, and a photo competition. These results demonstrate that the project successfully introduced partner schools to ecological construction techniques, fostered environmentally conscious students, involved local construction companies in ecological concepts, increased job opportunities for graduates, and initiated an environmental reform in school curricula.

Throughout the project, teachers and students from partner vocational schools were informed about ecological and green buildings. They visited exemplary cases in Germany, Greece, and Turkey, gaining insights into sustainable energy sources, their utilization in buildings, reduction of buildings' carbon footprint, and methods for minimizing and recycling construction waste products. The mobility activities included visits to ecological buildings, ensuring that our teachers and students became acquainted with these environmentally friendly structures. Additionally, during these mobilities, there was an exchange of ideas on environmental issues, green energy sources, and the harmony of buildings with the local environment. The participants engaged in discussions and shared experiences related to ecological building practices. Moreover, visits to environmentally friendly building examples in these countries provided opportunities for teachers and students to interact with local architects, civil engineers, representatives from environmental NGOs, and academic experts specializing in this field.

The collaborative project had significant concrete outputs and outcomes. It facilitated knowledge transfer among partner organizations, particularly emphasizing principles of the green economy in alignment with the UN's 17 goals. Leveraging Schwerpunkt Zentrum's expertise, the integration of green development through modern architecture proved instrumental for VET. The three-phase approach, spanning preparation, observation, and discussion, enabled participants to research ecological building approaches, learn from German techniques through site visits, and exchange ideas with professionals in Thessaloniki and Alanya. The project's transnational nature served as an international platform for knowledge and experience transfer among European partners. This collaboration addressed low efficiency in Greece and Turkey regarding environmental changes, contributing to the knowledge and positive change in the microclimate of the areas. Furthermore, the project fostered innovation in education, providing insights into Germany's construction technologies and each other's vocational education systems. In summary, the project successfully achieved its goals, promoting environmental awareness and contributing to vocational education.
