▶Objectives
The 'Fit 4 Future' project aims to develop a digital learning platform to enhance CNC multi-sided machining training with tailored content. The core goal is to innovate training content that adapts vocational education to labor market needs, boosting employability for apprentices in cutting machine operation and improving methodological skills. The platform will be used by teachers and trainers for face-to-face, online, and hybrid teaching. The key objectives of the project include developing a digital learning platform by building a comprehensive platform with digital resources and interactive tools for more engaging CNC machining training; enhancing digital competencies by strengthening the digital skills of educators and trainees, aligned with the European Council’s lifelong learning goals; and adapting vocational training to meet labor market demands by including CNC multi-sided machining skills. The project also supports flexible learning models by providing blended and hybrid learning options to address challenges like those posed by COVID-19. The Pilot project seeks to modernize CNC education, enhance employability, and encourage international cooperation.
▶Activities
The Fit 4 Future Pilot project developed a digital learning platform for CNC multi-sided machining, featuring 10 modules, each with a video, text description, and 19 game-based learning Apps for Basic, Advanced, and Professional levels. In this pilot project, use cases were the starting point for learning paths, which were mapped into a curriculum aligned with EQF principles. A randomized assessment selects 5 Apps; successful learners receive a Skills Card, validated by the trainer’s signature and institute stamp. Transnational partner meetings in Turkey (in person), Austria (online), and Germany facilitated platform development, testing, and coordination. A 'Hardware Experience Day' provided valuable feedback and validation. Digital training materials (Videos, Apps, Texts) were created to support both self-directed and classroom learning, with learning analytics integrated for evaluation. The Bildungswerk der Sächsischen Wirtschaft gGmbH (BSW) managed the project and coordination efforts. Results were shared via websites, social media, and a final conference, with plans for sustainable use of the platform beyond the project’s end.

The Fit 4 Future Pilot Project developed a digital learning platform for CNC multi-sided machining in three languages (EN, DE, TR), featuring 10 modules with 10 instructional videos, 10 text descriptions, and 19 game-based learning apps across Basic, Advanced, and Professional levels. Since use cases formed the basis for learning paths, the following documents are available for download: 'From Use Case to Learning Path,' 'Use Cases 1+2,' and 'Curriculum.' The platform includes a randomized assessment feature that selects 5 apps, and successful learners receive a Skills Card validated by a trainer’s signature and institute stamp for all three levels. Transnational partner meetings (Germany in person, Turkey in person, Austria online) facilitated platform development, testing, and coordination. A 'Hardware Experience Day' provided feedback and validation. Digital training materials supported both self-directed and classroom learning, with integrated learning analytics for evaluation. BSW managed project coordination. Results were disseminated through websites, social media, and a final conference, with strategies for sustainable use beyond the project.
