▶Objectives
With the PLAN project, we wanted to specifically strengthen teachers and schools in their digital and methodological development. Our central goal was to promote an agile, reflective and action-oriented learning culture that empowers both teachers and learners to actively shape their educational processes. Specifically, we wanted to achieve: • the development of self-learning skills and teamwork skills among teachers and students through agile methods such as Scrum and Design Thinking, • the development and production of creative digital learning products that enable individualized learning, • anchoring process-oriented working methods in school project work, • the promotion of design skills among teachers through practical training formats (micro credentials), • strengthening a European network for school innovation development and the transnational exchange of good practice. In addition, we aimed to create a stronger link between school education and social developments, for example by addressing sustainability, digitalization, democracy education and professional orientation with the help of digital media products. PLAN was therefore not just a media project, but a contribution to the sustainable transformation of education.
▶Activities
We initiated this project in order to respond specifically to the challenges of digital transformation in education and the world of work. Our central concern was to enable teachers to integrate digital and agile methods such as design thinking and scrum into their teaching practice, not as a technical add-on, but as the basis for a process-oriented, participatory and future-oriented learning culture. The identified needs included above all 1. the uncertainty of many teachers in the competent and reflective production and use of digital tools, particularly with regard to their pedagogical embedding and evaluation. 2. the lack of creative, collaborative and self-directed forms of learning that meet the requirements of a dynamic, digitalized working environment 3. the need to use digital media to turn learners not just into consumers, but into active creators of educational processes. With PLAN, we aimed to close this gap by creating digital learning products, developing micro-credentials for teacher training, and building a European network for exchange and innovation, supporting schools in becoming connected, agile, and future-ready as open-minded, self-directed learning organizations.
