▶Objectives
Our objectives by implementing this project were: To develop problem solving skills. To make original designs. To use group work effectively. To learn and understand how electronic circuit tools work To realize how robots are controlled . To develop technological knowledge and skills. To incorporates a range of skills, and to promote a learning environment for people with different talents. To increase the institutional and international capacity of our schools by collaborating with institutions abroad in the fields of robotics and coding and adapting good practice examples to the activities of our schools. To contribute to the career planning and international employment of our students as individuals who can produce solutions to problems by developing them in the fields of robotics and coding. To improve intercultural interaction and learn about different countries and cultures. To help students to improve their language skills.
▶Activities
The first activity was Learning Arduino-UNO. A tutorial session about electrical electronics was done in Finland. The students were introduced to the Arduino/UNO microprocessor, how it is controlled by code and how it could control electronic components. The participants learnt to use different electronic components and how to build a program and run it on the Arduino and they worked in teams to complete different missions The second main activity Body Design of Robot in the Netherlands started with introducing / DC motors and motor driver to learn the working principles of motor types and motor drivers .The working system of the Bluetooth modules was introduced on the Serial Port screen with Arduino. The students learned designing robots by using Thinker cad accounts and they worked in 6 groups and each programmed 1 robot with Thinker cad or SketchUp. For the final Football-RC Competition in Türkiye each country prepared 3 robots. The robots were combined and programmed before the mobility. They were tested and developed further during the mobility and a final competition of robot-football was held at the end of the week.
▶Impact
Through the project, students gained knowledge in programming, computational thinking, coding, digital learning, and STEM activities related to robotics. There were more than 20 trainings on robotics which were lead by ICT and Physics teachers. The students worked, studied, did groupwork and played games together and developed collaborative work. Our most important output was creating the 9 robots for football at the end . Additionally, students collaborated on designing project logos, hoodies, t-shirts, posters, leaflets, Erasmus+ Corners for dissemination. Social media content and content on school and project websites were concrete outputs. Both teachers and students had the opportunity to visit classes, interact with others and compare educational methodologies. Participants also improved their daily and technical usage of English, enhancing their effective verbal and written communication skills. Staying with host families provided insights into family life, social dynamics, cuisine, language, and they raised their cultural awareness. By cooperating the partner schools strengthened their institutional and international capacity. The project raised awareness about EU values and Erasmus+ opportunities among partners
