▶Objectives
The project aimed to increase the level of innovation of the training provided by the professors of the institutes involved in the project. the Maiorana Institute in Milazzo, Italy and the Sumrska Skola, in Croatia. The parallel objective was to increase the competitive advantage of the students of the institutes involved in the world of work. Everything was developed with a view to resilience to climate change.
▶Activities
A prototype of a mobile greenhouse had already been designed by the students of the ITT Majorana in Milazzo: this innovative project, however, had suffered a setback from Covid-19, leaving the children with a sense of unfinished. This project met several needs: 1) allowed the students to restart an exceptional idea, give them the cultural/scientific tools to improve it and thus plan its exploitation in the long term; 2) allowed the Istituto Majorana in Milazzo to better enter the Erasmus programme, with the primary intention of improving the fundamental scientific tools to make young people competitive in the world of work; 3) allowed the Croatian agricultural institute, which also presented itself new to E+ KA210 VET, to learn about a more innovative type of mobile greenhouse than the traditional one used so far in the school grounds by the Applied Agriculture Department and its Agricultural Machinery Development Department; 4) has introduced green subjects closely linked to climate change into the curriculum of pupils, bringing them in step with global needs, creating students who are not only more useful to the labour market but increasingly aware of these issues.
