A new push to European democracy

The project takes its roots by putting the youth at the real core of its activities. The EURODEMOS project pursues the following specific objectives: to inform and raise awareness about the foundations and challenges posed by the pandemic, digitalization, and disinformation to European democracy; to directly involve EU youth in the decision-making process and in relevant policy areas debates; to enhance the dialogue among EU youth from different Countries about topics related to the EU Democracy

The EURODEMOS project envisages the realization of 7 transnational informative panels in 7 EU countries about 7 identified topics related to EU democracy: election observations, new technologies (E-government), fake news and disinformation, European Demos, EU institutions, How to address cultural diversity in EU, The role of Civil Society in EU. At the end of the panels a set of recommendations will be provided to directly address representative of the institution.

The project is expected to engage 196 youth people, aged 18-30, and to release 70 youth-written and youth-friendly recommendations about the topics analysed during the informative panels.. In a long-term perspective the project aims to improve culture of EU democracy across Europe, to improve the understanding of the processes and new challenges linked to the EU democracy to the and to lead to the adoption of local youth-led public policies.
