The boost of the agriculture sector among young people

Objectives Main objectives to encourage the incorporation of young people into agriculture; guarantee food security, promoting a smart, diversified and resilient sector; promote respect for the environment and to commit to the fulfilment of climate objectives; increase the number of young farmers in order to ensure generational renewal; boost agriculture and restore young people's interest in the countryside. Activities - Awareness campaign. To promote agriculture, its modernization and awaken young people's interest in it. - Training course for young people. Digitalization and innovation in agriculture. Plus the development of a methodology for digitization and innovation in agriculture. - Practical activity visiting a farm where young people can have direct contact with the sector and observe how it is the daily operation and see how the digitization of the sector is occurring. Impact - Helping to improve the image of the agricultural sector. - Motivating young people to participate in the political, social and economic development of the agricultural sector in the territory where they live. - Promoting labour insertion and improving the employability of young people with difficulties in accessing work, providing them with theoretical and practical training related to the agricultural sector. - Raising awareness among young people so that they become involved in agriculture.
