Empower tourism and destination management professionals & students towards developing and promoting tailored alternative tourism offers Provide valuable tools and materials to VET providers Increase their knowledge alternative tourism and Support them towards integrating current and future trends in their practice Develop tailored, flexible learning opportunities Raise awareness on the advantages of alternative tourism Upgrade alternative tourism offers in the project's regions

Activities

Two partners meetings Website and social media campaign 3 local events for the creation of local stakeholders' networks (MT, EL, IT) Collection of good practices/case studies (30 in total) Development of ALTOUR-MED Guide on the development of alternative tourism destinations International webinar with 21 participants (VET trainers and professionals) 3 national seminars (in Malta, Italy and Greece) based on the Guide with 70 participants in total - professionals, VET educators and tourism students

Impact

• 30 good practices/case studies on alternative tourism as an OER • ALTOUR-MED Guide: a key resource for professionals and students to gain insights and competences for alternative tourism promotion • A webinar informed 21 trainers on the project concepts and methods • The ALTOUR-MED Seminars trained 70 tourism professionals and students on how to develop and promote alternative tourism offers • More than 3000 people reached through the dissemination activities • More than 60 tourism stakeholders directly engaged through the local networks
