▶Objectives
The project had these stated objectives and aimed to: 1. Develop a context-sensitive approach on how to promote educational insights on the prevention of conflict and peace promotion in different school contexts, empowering teachers and students to co-create learning materials. Kids’ experiences are at the core of this work. 2. Develop student-centered tools to promote peace education. Such tools will be teacher friendly, fit the curriculum and help students develop key insights. They will be available in English and all PPs’ languages. 3. Empower teachers & educators to become active promoters of peace education in all targeted areas. 4. Expand high school students’ awareness and knowledge about conflict prevention, peace promotion & peace building, motivating them to learn more and take action.
▶Activities
Here is a brief overview of main activities: 1. International Seminar Series: We hosted three-day-long online sessions, where educators were introduced to our collection and the foundational concepts of peace education, human rights, and dealing with past conflicts. 2. Development of Activity Plans: In collaboration with experts, educators developed activity plans tailored to their classrooms. These plans utilized the museum's objects, stories, and diaries to create engaging and educational content. 3. Mentorship and Support: We provided ongoing mentorship and support to educators as they implemented these activity plans in their schools. This included feedback sessions, additional resources, and expert consultations to ensure the successful integration of the program into diverse educational settings. 4. Evaluation and Feedback Mechanism: Post-implementation, we conducted evaluations through forms and discussions to assess the impact of the activities, gather insights for improvement, and upgrade our educational packages based on real-world classroom experiences. 5. We created an online toolkit and shared project outputs (ready-to-use activity plans) there and on the Erasmus results platform.

The project achieved notable results: 1. Successfully conducted three online seminar sessions for over 50 educators across Europe, focusing on peace education and conflict resolution. 2. Activity Plan Development: Facilitated the creation of innovative activity plans, directly impacting classroom discussions on war, peace, and empathy. 3. Student Engagement: Hundreds of students engaged in meaningful activities, developing critical thinking and empathy towards war-affected peers. 4. Feedback Mechanism: Collected and utilized educator feedback to refine and enhance our educational resources. 5. Networking: Laid groundwork for a Teachers Network for Peace in Serbia as a spin-off initiative, promoting collaborative peace education efforts and becoming a legacy of this project. 6. Museum Engagement and study trips: Inspired study trip visits to the War Childhood Museum by schools from Croatia and Serbia, extending learning beyond the classroom. 7. Resource Enhancement: Expanded the Peace and Justice Education Resource Center of the War Childhood Museum with a new Teachers for Teachers toolkit, making it a valuable tool for European and global educators.
