▶Objectives
An open web-based source tool that could convey the benefits of being active in voluntary work. It required making use of a pedagogically enlightening work that was applicable by volunteers, instructors or by the general civil society. The survey and collection of positive effects by engagement, and through digital informative tools. Did we develop, a pragmatic web module-based course on www.train2act.eu. The course and study material are easily comprehensible information that proves the benefits, positive social attitudes and values, volunteering brings with it. Making visible the unconscious competence building, skill development, good mental health, democracy building, inclusion and significant and valuable qualities volunteering provide with, in some cases, also unconsciously among citizens and volunteers. Through Adult learning, much of which takes place precisely in voluntary arenas, aims train2act to provide awareness about volunteering as a socially beneficial organism with many positive and useful properties. Something Train2Act modules aims to be a clear tool for.
▶Activities
The implementation process was in accordance with the proposal and met the points described in each activity phase with respective distribution of responsibility. In the Kick-off meeting in Oslo, important points were reviewed, with the respective structure chosen to ensure the distribution of responsibilities and discipline for project implementation. External communication as a central element was reviewed regarding selected direct and indirect target groups among small NGOs, staff, volunteers, adult educators, regional adult education, public, stakeholders, municipality. To mention a few. As part of the external communication, practical and inclusive activities were arranged which required the participation of representatives of selected target groups. These contribute to gain experience for the developing of train2act, as well as dissemination about it. Use of digital platforms and even own marketing campaigns for Train2act in local newspapers were part of the measures implemented. This conclusion was strengthened at the evaluation meeting in Ohrid, 13-14 May 2024 with the participation of local NGOs and stakeholders from Ohrid municipality and Innlandet County council in Norway.
▶Impact
Closer relationships with other NGOs, strengthened cooperation, motivation, innovation and development of local projects and activities for the local community, positive impact in relation to local authorities, stakeholders and decision-makers by future collaboration projects, greater understanding and insight into volunteering and its values among volunteers and local authorities seems to be achieve in some level. Stronger sense of togetherness to counteract social isolation, better understanding of volunteering as a path to education and working life. The results have paved the way for long-term and future collaboration with the public sector, greater understanding and recognition of each other's role and expertise. An open and pragmatic tool for creating positive social attitudes between and for people, the environment, sectors, European democratic practice, identity and belonging. Finally, the mutual learning by exchange of experience the project has contributed between the partners. Where, in a collegial way, we have assisted each other in our daily work, within volunteering, adult education or advocacy work. A significant and valuable result for the consortium.
