▶Objectives
By implementing the project, it is aimed to provide the target group teachers and indirect target groups with the skills that they can adapt to the world transformed by technology, in short, 21st century competencies, so that they can prevent being a consumer society. In addition, the target group of teachers who can build the future of society: - To be raised as digitally equipped with the "Maker Movement" - Increasing the ability to use the technology required by the digital age - Increasing the quality of education and training by initiating the "Maker Movement" in their institutions, - Providing more inclusive education by making learning fun and permanent, - Increasing project-based thinking skills - It is aimed to increase analytical and three-dimensional thinking skills.
▶Activities
Within the scope of our project, 4 physical and 1 virtual mobility was planned. In the first mobility of the project, basic coding activities with Arduino, the use of various sensors, the creation of electrical circuits were carried out. In the second mobility, 3D drawing, design and printing applications were made. In the third mobility, practical trainings on drone construction, coding and flight were carried out. Drone parts were drawn with Tinkercad web2.0 tool and produced on a 3D printer. The produced drone was coded with Arduino software and flight trials were performed. The fourth mobility was virtual and in this mobility, web design trainings were given using "Wix" and "WordPage" platforms and the target group teachers learnt to design web pages. In the last mobility, mobile application design trainings were given and the target group teachers designed a prototype mobile application with "MIT App Inventor".
▶Impact
Thanks to the project, teachers adapted to the digital transformation, which is a necessity of the age, and gained experience in the technology issues included in the project activities. The target group teachers have reached a level where they can easily use these technologies in their educational activities by initiating the "maker" movement in schools. Thanks to the competences acquired by the target groups, the project contributed to the improvement of the education quality of the project partners nationally and to the positive progress towards the EU education targets. At the end of the project, as a final product, a mobile application named "SmartHouse" and a website bearing the name of the project were designed and made available for free use. The website includes all the content produced during the project activities, curriculum integration, sample lesson videos showing the technologies used in Maker workshops in Europe and the world, and how these technologies are used. Most importantly, each partner transferred the knowledge, skills and achievements gained within the scope of the project to the relevant website in a concrete way and a common pool was created.
