By implementing the project, we aimed to achieve several key objectives. -Enhance the employability of students, especially those with fewer opportunities. -Increase Digital Literacy, by using new technologies intelligently to boost the digital literacy of young people, including critical understanding and use of technological tools. -Raise Awareness – increase young people's awareness of present and future issues by exploring topics such as European values, digital and environmental transitions, work and transversal skills. -Develop Technical Skills – acquire or enhance a range of technical skills such as expressiveness, active listening, relational dialogue, public speaking, audio and video editing, to improve employability and entrepreneurial activities. -Enhance Transversal Skills – develop or elevate transversal skills like adaptability, resilience, critical thinking, teamwork, time management, leadership, and problem-solving. -Improve Educator Training – enhance the training of educators to expand the impact of the methodology and multiply potential beneficiaries. The project created real meeting places for dialogue and comparison, and it was inclusive, collaborative, and non-formal to engage and encourage participation.

We applied for this project because we recognized the urgent need to address the social exclusion and vulnerability of young people aged 17-21, particularly those from small geographical areas in Portugal, Italy, and Greece. These young individuals face significant disadvantages compared to their urban peers, including high unemployment, job instability, and a general sense of uncertainty about the future. Our motivation was to provide these young people with the skills and confidence needed to navigate a rapidly changing world, leveraging non-formal education methods like podcasting to make learning engaging and relevant. The primary needs we addressed were the lack of interest in lifelong learning and the acquisition of essential skills among young people. We aimed to counteract the distrust in the future and the resulting disinterest in education by providing opportunities for young people to develop creativity and interpersonal skills—competencies that machines cannot replicate. Additionally, we sought to bridge the gap between urban and rural youth by offering targeted support to those in smaller, more disadvantaged areas.
