The project aimed to offer a genuine opportunity to develop communication skills in English, Croatian and Slovenian. Our aim was to enable students to actively speak and write in English, especially on scientific topics, in order to enrich their vocabulary in the language. At the same time, we wanted to broaden their knowledge about the depletion of natural resources through real-life experiences. By involving professional artists the level of authentical learning and the motivation for Stem subjects were significantly increased. Participation in international groups was crucial for developing team skills and intercultural competences. This approach was aimed at developing a better understanding of the European space and how it works. Collaboration with external experts such as scientists allowed us to tackle challenges in environmental topics and to introduce new learning approaches. The partnership with the school was set up to give the school a first experience of European cooperation and project work. Together we have increased the level of internationalisation and cosmopolitanism of both schools. The most important result of this project is the new knowledge, experience and enhanced capacities of both pupils and teachers.

We carried out the following activities: - developing and planning of the concept, content and activities and common writing of the application form. We developed a research and project approach and strategies to strengthen intercultural competences and the European dimension among teachers and students. We designed activities that promoted creative expression and eco-sustainability among participants from both schools, including parents. The list of activities contains: presentation films in a foreign language, design of the project logo, production of tourist leaflets in a foreign language, creation of mathematical teaching sheets, 3D planning, design of picture books, production of imaginary maps, computer design of theatre sheets, production of invitations, public performance at the Ljubljana City Museum, design of the website, preparation of dissemination material and preparation of reports on the activities carried out. We carried out two project meetings with the teachers and principals and two students exchanges in Osijek and Ljubljana. We also published the project monograph. Different project management, evaluation and dissemination activities were carried out.
