Futures Fertilisers

Objectives With this project we want to - pilot a methodology that combines futures, storytelling, arts and youth work methods to engage young people in the public debate and in the shaping of our societies, and that allows to voice visions of young people that trigger conversation and imagination - improve futures literacy and storytelling competences of young people and people working with/for young people - trigger conversation and imagination around the position and vision of young people in society Activities The core of the project is to pilot a transformational creative futures practice with an audio-visual futures vision as an intellectual outcome, which will be shown to other generations in general, youth workers, teachers, and policy makers. The practice consists of a two days worldbuilding weekend, a 7 days futures practice, and a 2 days futures lab. Afterward, the co-created story will be distributed and discussed. Impact The outcome will be an audio-visual production to depict the future visions of youngsters created in a participatory way and an innovative methodology that could lead to this kind of story and can be used as a tool to help young people to voice their visions for the future of our societies. The participants of the project will learn about the field of futures studies and story creation, and get insight in many futures topics in an embodied way.
