Objectives

O1) Developing an innovative method for nervous system-based resilience training - the ‘Embodied Resilience’ approach - testing it with various target groups and disseminating it (A2-4) O2) Training key actors in relevant contexts to function as multiplicators for ER (A2-4) O3) Assembling a transnational community of practice for facilitators practising ER (A2-4) O4) Developing transnational cooperation to disseminate ER: 3 partner organisations & 12 network partners (A1-3)

Activities

A1) Project management: The project consortium met regularly from October 2023 to November 2025 for online working meetings (approx. once a month) and twice live for two-day transnational project meetings. The project progress was documented on an ongoing basis. A2) Live practical research meetings: Four 'Embodied Resilience Co-Labs' lasting 3+ days were held, in which both multipliers and external practitioners were involved in the development of the ER approach. A3) Online capacity building: 11 community of practice calls and 2 webinars were held. A4) Local prototyping and implementation: Over 90 local workshops/seminars and practice group meetings were held in various social contexts. A5) Intellectual output: An ER handbook and a website, as well as two online multiplication events for the dissemination of the project results were implemented.

Impact

@O1) The ER methodology was tested in prototyping sessions with a total of more than 400 participants. An online and a live format for ER were developed and summarized together with 7 central facilitation tools and associated principles in the “Embodied Resilience Approach” in the ER handbook. @O2) 40 multipliers were trained to implement the ER approach in their respective contexts in the course of the live practice research meetings and local implementation. @O3) A transnational community of practice has been established. @O4) A basis for further transnational cooperation for the dissemination of ER (trust building, clarification of working principles and processes between the participating organizations) was laid. All in all, over 450 people have participated in online or live offers and have increased their personal resilience and competence in embodiment and mindfulness. In addition, several new initiatives were launched in the course of the project: > A self-organized online peer support group, > An initiative for somatic policy, > as well as an online coaching program. All of these activities will be continued independently by participants in our activities after the end of this project
