UpCycleConnect: Connecting European communities through sustainable upcycling practices

Objective 1: We increased awareness and understanding of upcycling and sustainability among students. - Conducted pre- and post-project surveys of students' knowledge and attitudes towards upcycling and sustainability (MS Forms). - Monitored attendance rates and participation levels in upcycling workshops and activities. - Evaluated completion rates and the quality of upcycling projects submitted by students (as showcased during the event). Objective 2: We developed practical skills and creative abilities in upcycling among students. -Assessed the quality and functionality of upcycling projects created by students (rated by teachers and artists). - Observed the demonstration of upcycling skills in completed projects. - Collected student feedback on the development of practical skills and creative abilities (MS Forms). - Gathered feedback from partners on the level of collaboration and exchange achieved (interviews). All outcomes are summarized and shared on the project's social media platforms.

Activity 1: Gathering student groups through a casting Students had to participate in a casting and present a letter, speech, or presentation of motivation, explaining their contribution to the project. Activity 2: Teachers meeting Two teachers from each participating school met in Vienna for the project launch. At the meeting, all activities were discussed and debated. Activity 3: Working on upcycling projects This activity was held at all participating schools. Participants had the opportunity to work on upcycling projects in collaboration with artists and NGOs. Through this activity, participants learned about the principles of upcycling, including sustainability, creativity, and resourcefulness. Activity 4: Students' meeting Students from the participating schools had the chance to meet and exchange their ideas and designs in the Netherlands. All participants stayed together in a hostel in Eindhoven and worked on the topic. Activity 5: The UpCycleConnect Showcase The UpCycleConnect Showcase was a public event designed to celebrate the creativity and sustainability of upcycling. This event featured upcycling projects created by students in the 8th to 11th grades, as well as presentations by professional artists and NGOs who

The pupils learned a lot about upcycling and created innovative upcycling products. The Erasmus+ project was presented to the public at all participating schools. The highlight was, of course, the students' meeting in Eindhoven, where their knowledge and skills were deepened, and friendships were forged across Europe. As you can see from the evaluation in the results database, we did a great job.
